Amanda's Art

Both of my daughters are photographers. Amanda recently had an exhibition at the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art and I helped her with preparing her canvases and building a five foot pear out of driftwood. 
Amanda lives on the South Shore so there is all sorts of debris on the beach. We originally built a heart that hangs on a wall outside on her terrace, but for the show she wanted to make something larger. She has always loved pears, so a pear it was to be.
We trekked up and down the hill to collect hundreds of pieces of wood, laid them all out and began. We worked in two to three hour intervals and two months later this is what we made...
